Meet Gosia Leszkowicz

Hockey has shaped every part of my life.

As a former player, coach, mentor, and parent, I have experienced hockey from every perspective, from competing at the highest level, to developing players, to supporting the journey from the stands.

Those experiences have shaped the way I coach today.

For more than 20 years, I have worked with ambitious players across Denmark, Sweden, and Europe, helping athletes develop the Hockey IQ, confidence, discipline, and mental strength required to perform in demanding hockey environments.

My coaching philosophy goes beyond skills.

Modern hockey is faster, more complex, and more demanding than ever. Players must be able to read the game, make decisions under pressure, communicate effectively, and take ownership of their own development.

My role is to help players understand the game at a deeper level and develop the habits required to become confident, intelligent, and resilient competitors.

Playing & Coaching Experience

• Former Danish National Team player for 17+ years
• 13-time Danish Champion
• 20+ years of coaching experience
• Developed more than 1,100 youth and junior players
• International coaching experience across Denmark, Sweden, and Europe
• A part of the NHL Coaches' Association Female Coaches Development Program since 2024

Being a part of the NHLCA Female Coaches Development Program give me the opportunity to learn directly from NHL coaches, player development specialists, leadership experts, performance coaches, and video analysts.

The game continues to evolve and so do I.

I believe that if I expect my players to keep learning, adapting, and improving, I must hold myself to the same standard.

Continuous learning is a responsibility I bring into every coaching session, player evaluation, team presentation, and development program.

Karvinen 3 Ice Elite Hockey Performance Camp

For many years, I have been part of the Karvinen 3 Ice Hockey Elite Performance Camp, contributing as a Mental Performance Coach, Physical Coach, and On-Ice Coach.

Working alongside experienced coaches and elite players in an international development environment has provided opportunities to exchange knowledge, challenge ideas, and contribute my own expertise in Hockey IQ, performance psychology, leadership, and player development.

These collaborations continue to strengthen the modern, player-centered approach I bring to every athlete, team, and development program.

My Coaching Philosophy

I do not believe in one-size-fits-all coaching.

Every player has different strengths, challenges, goals, and learning styles.

That is why my approach combines:

• Hockey IQ
• Decision-making
• Small-area games
• Leadership development
• Communication
• Performance psychology
• Video analysis
• High-performance habits

My goal is not only to help players become better hockey players.

My goal is to help them become independent athletes who understand the game, trust their decisions, handle pressure, and continue developing long after our work together ends.

Confidence is built through preparation, discipline, reflection, and daily habits.

Having followed my twin sons through their own elite hockey journeys has also given me another valuable perspective. I have experienced player development not only from the bench and the ice, but also as a parent navigating expectations, challenges, setbacks, and long-term growth.

That perspective allows me to support both players and the families who are part of the journey.
